This book presents the researches in the field of architecture run by Federico II Naples University Department of Urban Design (DPU). It deals essentially with university research, its connections with different discipline dynamics, its theoretical updates and researches. It also introduces a series of useful tools and themes to report the necessities of changing cities that may be productively used by those who concretely promote and manage transformations.
The studies may be grouped in two wide thematic areas:
- the first deals with cities and territories, from a morphological point of view and develops materials, procedures and methods for descriptions and projects;
- the latter deals with the technological aspect of architectural projects, with some topics related to the connections among architecture, technology and environment to further and monitor environmental and building rehabilitation works.
